Job Description

Reporting to and receiving direction from the Associate Registrar, the Registrar Operations Specialist is responsible for performing complex tasks related to the maintenance of student's records including but not limited to current registrations, transfer credits, and semester admissions updates. This position will be responsible for the upkeep of the transfer credit database, posting transfer credits for all schools, researching and solving registration issues, and attendance tracking for all Manhattan College students. The ROS will be the office s liaison with the Study Abroad Office (creating course data, processing registrations, and grading) and the Work-Study supervisor. The ROS will be responsible for all Clearinghouse bi-weekly and NSLDS submissions. This position will assist the Registrar in all data-related projects.

The Registrar Operations Specialist will monitor student s registration activities including attendance issues throughout the semester. The ROS will provide outreach to students and Assistant Deans regarding any attendance concerns and update students status when required.

In addition to the responsibilities listed above, the Registrar Operations Specialist is required to attend and participate at all Orientation sessions, convocation and commencement ceremonies; serve on assigned committees and task forces; attend and participate at committee, staff, informational and professional meetings.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree required

Excellent interpersonal, communications and problem solving skills

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to set priorities and keep deadlines

Ability to work independently on multiple assignments and to work collaboratively within a team

Desire for continuous learning
