Director of Admissions for Graduate and Continuing and

Professional Studies

Reporting directly to the Vice President for Enrollment Management, the Director of Admissions for Graduate and Continuing and Professional Studies leads comprehensive admissions efforts to attract, recruit and enroll qualified graduate and continuing education students. The Director is a key member of the College s enrollment management leadership team and contributes to the development and execution of Manhattan s strategic planning initiatives.

Responsibilities

Direct the implementation and coordination of a strategic marketing plan to grow graduate enrollment at Manhattan College

Manage the graduate admission budget, including planning and administration

Develop, maintain and continually enhance communication plans for prospective graduate students; plan and purchase list buys and student search campaigns including direct mailings, emails and social media campaigns

Develop relationships and communication with all graduate program directors; co-chair monthly Graduate Council meetings with key participants including the College s Provost, Associate Provost, VP for Enrollment Management, Deans and Program Directors. Meet regularly with the Deans of the Schools of Liberal Arts, Engineering, Continuing and Professional Studies, Education and Health, Science and the O Malley School of Business to collaborate on enrollment strategies for graduate programs

Coordinate on-campus/off campus recruiting activities for all graduate programs; travel to various recruiting, admissions and community-based events to market graduate programs to prospective students

Meet with and counsel prospective students; provide admissions and program information

Oversee the maintenance and development of graduate admissions website pages; communicate with graduate faculty and web services to encourage development of program websites; collaborate with ITS to develop technology to improve the graduate admissions process

Coordinate and communicate jobs with Marketing & Communications to produce graduate admissions and marketing materials

Collaborate with the Office of Institutional Effectiveness to assist with analysis of reports indicating enrollment trends, assessing recruitment efforts and evaluating enrollment data

Ability to work evenings/weekends and travel throughout the year

Provide and articulate a strategic vision for graduate enrollment at Manhattan College

Minimum Qualifications

Master s Degree from an accredited college/university

Five years of experience in graduate recruitment, advising or other related field

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of SCT/Banner and CRM systems

Working knowledge of SLATE

Experience supervising graduate admissions staffs
