The Coordinator for Graduate Admissions is a staff/hourly position. The Coordinator for Graduate Admissions plays an integral role in helping to meet the recruitment and enrollment goals identified by the College s Strategic Plan. The Coordinator also serves as primary contact for prospective student and program directors for programs within the Schools of Business, Continuing & Professional Studies, Education & Health, Engineering, and Science. The successful candidate assists in the management of the admissions database and the transmission of data into the University student information system; assists with developing and analyzing statistical reports; and overseeing the operations of the application evaluation process, ensuring that admissions decisions are rendered appropriately and in a timely fashion. Evening hours are required during certain times of the year.

Performs computer procedural operations
Answers general questions and inquiries
Performs data entry for standardized test scores, application decisions, and update application materials
Maintains inventory of bulk supplies and promotional materials
Types departmental correspondence using Microsoft Office
Under the supervision of the Directors, meets with students and advises students on academic goals and objectives
Serves as contact with faculty, graduate Program Directors, Deans, and their assistants as it relates to the admission and enrollment of new graduate students
Assists in coordination of on-campus graduate information sessions.
Assists the Graduate Admissions team by reviewing and auditing process and procedures and utilizing best practices in the field of Graduate Admissions.
Thinks outside of the box to hone existing processes while also providing suggestions for better alternatives
Assists in the implementation of new admissions software
Assists with the training of Program Directors and Deans on the review process of graduate applications
Corresponds with Information Technology to better existing processes
Assists with reviewing changes to website; assists in oversight of the Graduate Admissions section and works with Marketing & Communications to make necessary changes
Maintains graduate recruitment calendar
Maintains professional and calm demeanor in high-stress situations
