Manhattan College is seeking adjunct instructors to teach Introduction to Social Services (SOC 210) undergraduate course during the Spring 2020 semester. SOC 210 serves as a foundation course for students majoring in Sociology and concentrating in social services and social work. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled, but priority will be given to application received before 15 October 2019.

Candidates for consideration must have completed a Master's degree, be in active pursuit of a Ph.D., and have some prior teaching experience at the college or university level. Preference may be given to applicants who are ABD or who have completed their Ph.D. in sociology, social work, or social services. Proven excellence in teaching is a key factor for consideration. We are especially interested in faculty capable of fostering critical thinking and who are sensitive to Manhattan College's mission and commitment to social justice.

Manhattan College is an independent Catholic coeducational institution in the Lasallian tradition. We expect our faculty, administration, and staff to be knowledgeable about our mission and to make a positive contribution to the mission. Applicants from historically under-represented segments of the population are encouraged to apply, as well as those attracted to a college with a Catholic identity. We are committed to a diverse campus community. AA/EO Employer M/F/D/V
