The Office of General Counsel is looking for an Attorney admitted to practice in at least one state in the U.S. along with have 3-5 years legal experience (outside of law school), preferably in a law firm or corporate environment. The ideal candidate will have insurance (property/casualty) business/legal/coverage experience, strong verbal and written communication/presentation skills, analytical acumen, enthusiasm for working in a team-oriented, dynamic environment, and a strong service-oriented disposition.
Statutory, regulatory and case law research and drafting legal memoranda;
Drafting or reviewing new insurance policies and endorsements;
Providing legal assistance in connection with the preparation and submission of product filings with state regulators;
Responding to regulatory criticisms on product filings;
Reviewing marketing material and assisting with new introduction of new products into the marketplace;
Providing general regulatory advice on commercial underwriting matters; and
Providing general legal advice in other areas related to Leading Insurance Companys commercial insurance activities.
