Associate Dean

Job Location: Cambridge, MA

The Associate Dean of Hult International Business School in Cambridge, MA, is responsible for implementing academic policies and directing the activities of faculty, staff, and students. Duties will focus on 1) Curriculum implementation and evaluation; 2) Faculty hiring, development, assessment, and promotion, and 3) Student affairs.

In relation to the curriculum, the Associate Dean will:

Assure the adoption of MBA and Masters-level courses that match the business school s commitment to case-based instruction and satisfy the academic standards set by its senior faculty, accrediting agencies, and Master Plan;

Synthesize, analyze and report on data related to student learning outcomes, faculty evaluations, graduate performance, and other indicators of program quality.

With regard to faculty recruitment and development, the Associate Dean will:

Direct short and long range staff planning;

Implement searches to fill faculty positions;

Provide guidance to professors and instructors in the areas of course planning, mentoring of teaching assistants and work study students, and educational program evaluation;

Direct and oversee faculty evaluations and serve as liaison to faculty committees.

In the area of student affairs, the Associate Dean will:

Advise students on academic issues such as course choices, grades, attendance, progress, ethics, and disciplinary action;

Administer student progress and assessments and organize additional academic or language support for any students in need;

Oversee academic-related social functions and extracurricular projects;

Function as the bridge between Hult school s student body and its administration, serving as students primary resource for feedback, questions and concerns.

Travel (15%) of the time to attend conferences, faculty summits, and training events at other Hult International Business School campuses.

Minimum requirements: Master s degree in higher education administration, business administration, international education, or a related field or foreign degree equivalent, plus two years of experience in higher education administration

Experience must include the following:

2 years of experience in project management and in leading teams to fulfill and meet organizational goals under budget and deadline constraints.

2 years of experience working with virtual global teams to create organizational alignment across policies and best practices.

2 years of experience in academic curriculum design and implementation.

2 years of experience mentoring, coaching, and advising students and faculty.

2 years of experience working with LMS (Learning Management Systems), with an advanced knowledge of CANVAS.

2 years of knowledge of Salesforce (Customer Relationship Management system).

2 years of experience working with product development teams to innovate, create, test, and implement software products to enhance student and faculty experience.
